Rodrigo Martins

Rodrigo Martins has a strong background in the banking and finance industry. Rodrigo currently holds the position of EVP / Director Central at novobanco since 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Non Executive Board Member at IJAR LEASING ALGERIE starting from 2018. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as the Head of Finance Department / Finance Director at GNB Gestão de Ativos. Rodrigo also has extensive experience at NOVO BANCO, where they held various roles such as EVP & Head of Intl. Payments & Custody at International Business Division, EVP & Head of International & Subsidiaries Division, General Manager, and SVP / VP in International Division from 2013 to 2021. Before that, they held the position of Assistant Manager in the International Division at Banco Espírito Santo from 2009 to 2013. Rodrigo also has experience as a General Manager & co-founder at Flowency Consultores Financeiros, Lda from 2007 to 2009. Rodrigo started their career at KPMG Portugal as a Banking & Finance Auditor from 1998 to 2000.

Rodrigo Martins completed their Bachelor's Degree in Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa between 1993 and 1998. Rodrigo then pursued a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from ISEG during the year 2006 to 2007. In 2003, they attended the first edition of the Banking Management Program (PGB) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Prior to these higher education qualifications, Rodrigo Martins completed their high school education in Economics at Colégio Moderno from 1985 to 1992.
