Anders Romare

CIO & Senior Vice President Global IT at Novo Nordisk

Anders Romare is the current CIO and Senior Vice President of Global IT at Novo Nordisk. Prior to this, they spent 9 years at Airbus, where they were most recently the Vice President of Technology Services for the Digital Transformation Office. In this role, they were responsible for providing technology services to 150,000 internal users and 50,000 users in the supply chain spread across 600 locations worldwide. This included managing the full life-cycle of major technology backbones such as the digital workplace, helpdesk, network, identity and access management, security operating centre, and hosting (data centre, public/private cloud), as well as SAP platforms.

Under Romare's leadership, the organization underwent a transformation into an agile, business value-driven organization based on product teams. This entailed a shift to new agile ways of working and accelerated the use of new digital technologies such as cloud computing and DevOps. Key achievements during their time at Airbus include successfully executing this organizational transformation and delivering strong results despite a challenging budget environment.

Anders Romare has a non-executive director program from INSEAD, an executive MBA from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, and an MSc in Electronics from Chalmers University of Technology. Anders also has certification from INSEAD Executive Education in Aspiring Directors Programme.

Anders Romare works with Susanne Hundsbæk-Pedersen - Senior Vice President, Devices & Supply Chain Management, Michael Hallgren - Senior Vice President1, and Flemming Dahl - Head of Quality, Senior Vice President.
