Carsten Nielsen

Carsten Nielsen is an accomplished leader in supply chain and operations with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Executive Director for Emerging Technologies Portfolio Management and Supply Operations at Novo Nordisk since October 2022, Carsten previously held the role of Executive Director Supply Chain Operations at Forma Therapeutics for a brief period in 2022. With a strong foundation built at Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where Carsten served as Director and Associate Director of Global Supply Chain, and at Biogen with progressively responsible roles in External Manufacturing, Carsten has demonstrated expertise in relationship management with both strategic and clinical suppliers. Carsten's academic background includes an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College, along with research experience at the University of New Hampshire in experimental physical and atmospheric chemistry.
