Kawai Leung

Kawai (George) Leung is currently a Lead Data Scientist at Novo Nordisk, where responsibilities include leveraging AI and Machine Learning for drug development since February 2023. Prior to this role, Kawai served as a Research Scientist II at Amazon from August 2019 to January 2023, focusing on data-efficient machine learning and natural language processing, among other skills. Experience also includes working as a Data Scientist at Vectra AI, developing machine learning algorithms for network intrusion detection, and serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Emory University, conducting research in computational modeling of animal behavior. Kawai was a Fellow at Insight Data Science and holds a PhD in Physics from Emory University along with an MSc in Physics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
