Morten Kallberg

Morten Kallberg is an accomplished professional in bioinformatics with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as the Head of Cohort and Disease Informatics and Principal Scientist at Novo Nordisk since 2019, Morten has contributed significantly to the advancement of research and product development. Prior to this, Morten was the Director of Computational Biology at Seven Bridges from 2017 to 2019, where oversight of a computational biology team and strategic roadmap development for the Graph Genome tool suite were key responsibilities. Morten's earlier experience includes a role as Sr. Scientist at Illumina from 2012 to 2017, where innovative algorithms for variant detection were formulated and deployed. Morten holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Bioinformatics from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark.
