Shihara Azard

Shihara Azard is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering and CMC operations with extensive experience across several prominent companies in the biopharmaceutical sector. Currently serving as Director CMC at Novo Nordisk since October 2022, Shihara previously held the position of Director, CMC Operations PM at Forma Therapeutics and worked as QAV at bluebird bio, focusing on cell gene therapy tech transfers. Shihara's experience includes process engineering roles at Sanofi Genzyme, facilitating tech transfers and manufacturing operations, as well as positions at Lonza, CAMMP Laboratory, Croda, and Basell, where responsibilities ranged from process development to project lead roles in environmental and engineering compliance. Shihara holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from the University of Bath.
