Varun Sridhar

Varun Sridhar is a seasoned professional with a robust background in innovation and research, currently serving as a Senior Innovation Engineer (Innovation Lead) at Novo Nordisk since April 2022. In this role, Varun drives transformative projects focusing on drug delivery and diagnostics, particularly for biologics and oligonucleotides. Prior to this, Varun held positions as a Senior Research Scientist, specializing in Oral Delivery Technologies, and was an Entrepreneur in Residence at MAX!mize, co-founding a surgical robotics pre-seed startup. Varun's extensive research experience includes a postdoctoral role at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, where notable projects involved biocompatible microscale robots and microrobots for biomedical applications. Varun holds a PhD in Microrobotics and materials science from the International Max Planck Research School, alongside master's degrees from Grenobles INP - Phelma and Technische Universität Darmstadt, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
