Cristina Herrera Messina, PhD, is a seasoned professional in clinical research and development, currently serving as Senior Manager, Clinical Research Scientist in Oncology at Novocure since August 2022. Prior experience includes various roles at GSK from September 2017 to July 2022, including Director and Associate Director of Clinical Science in Oncology, and a Global Clinical Development Manager. Cristina also held positions as a Medical Science Liaison and Epidemiologist within GSK's Future Leaders Programme. From May 2016 to August 2017, Cristina was a Science and Vaccine Safety Fellow at the National Vaccine Program Office, where significant contributions included managing cooperative agreements and leading collaborative vaccine safety projects. Earlier experience includes research and data management roles at Wadsworth Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, as well as a Science Policy Intern at the Environmental Protection Bureau in New York. Cristina holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University at Albany and has Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Molecular Medicine and Biology, respectively.
