Oded Yaakobi

Oded Yaakobi is a Senior Research Physicist at Novocure, focusing on theoretical and model-based research to understand the biophysics of Tumor Treating Fields therapy for aggressive cancers. Previously, Oded served as a Future Projects System Engineer at an R&D company, conducting technical prefeasibility studies and developing algorithms for complex products. With experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the National Institutes of Health and INRS-EMT, Oded contributed to software development for simulating biological cell behavior and improving optical signal amplification efficiency. Early career roles include Research Collaborator at the University of California, Berkeley, Graduate Student Instructor at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Plasma Physics Researcher at Soreq Research Center. Oded's academic background includes a PhD in Physics and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by a BSc in Physics and Mathematics through a prestigious military excellence program.
