Bianca Cerqueira

Co-Founder & COO at NovoThelium

Bianca Cerqueira is the Co-Founder and COO of NovoThelium. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at UT Health San Antonio, a Teaching Assistant II at The University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Molecular Biologist at QualTex Labs.

Bianca has specialized skills in multimodal MRI, MRI analysis, MATLAB, small animal surgery, behavioral tests, statistical analysis, transcardial perfusion, histology, and IACUC protocol development.

During their time as a Graduate Research Assistant, Bianca was awarded an American Heart Association Pre-Doctoral Fellowship and a Translational Science Training TL1 Pre-Doctoral Fellowship.

Dr. Bianca Cerqueira completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology. Bianca then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from UT Health San Antonio. After completing their PhD, they earned a certificate in Translational Science from UT Health San Antonio. Bianca is also a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist, having earned certification from the American Association of Tissue Banks.

They are on a team with Shatha Dallo - Chief Scientific Officer, Christina Cerqueira - Chief Marketing Officer. Bianca Cerqueira reports to Lauren Cornell, Co-Founder & CEO.
