Lara Hodgson is a co-founder, president, and CEO of Now, an invoice payment solution company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Lara has been with Now since August 2010, working to redefine how and when businesses get paid. In addition to their role at Now, Hodgson has also held various positions in different organizations. Lara served as a board trustee for the Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc. since March 2018. Lara was also the chairman of the board for Atlanta Heights Charter School starting in 2008. Hodgson has been an advisory board member for both the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business and the Georgia Tech College of Engineering since 2014, until 2020. In 2015, they were a member of the board of trustees for the Georgia Tech Alumni Association until March 2018. Hodgson was also a board member of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority from 2006 to January 2016. Before their involvement with Now, Hodgson founded Nourish Inc in 2009, where they were the CEO until 2012. Additionally, they worked as an adjunct instructor of finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2012. Prior to all these experiences, Hodgson owned Insomnia Group from January 2007 to January 2011, where they focused on leading strategy and financial structuring of large scale infrastructure projects and was a nationally recognized speaker on innovation and creativity.
Lara Hodgson attended St Pius X Highschool from 1984 to 1988, where they did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. Lara then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1993. Later, from 1996 to 1998, they attended Harvard Business School, earning an MBA degree with no specific field of study mentioned.
