Mojtaba Khomami Abadi

Mojtaba Khomami Abadi has a diverse background in research and technology. Starting in 2011, they pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Trento, focusing on affective, user-centric, and spontaneous multimedia indexing. During this time, they developed the Sensaura, an emotion recognition platform that utilized neuro-physiological information. Mojtaba also published several papers in prestigious journals and conferences.

In 2014, Mojtaba worked as a Research Associate at Queen Mary University of London, where they conducted research on affective brain-computer interaction under the supervision of Professor I. Patras.

Starting in 2015, Mojtaba co-founded Sensaura Inc., a company that offered a real-time, multi-modal, biosignal-based emotion recognition platform as a service. Mojtaba served as the CTO and played a key role in developing device-agnostic emotion recognition engines.

From 2014 to 2018, Mojtaba also worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at TandemLaunch Inc., where they gained valuable experience in the tech industry.

Since 2017, Mojtaba has been working at Noze (formerly Stratuscent). Mojtaba started as an AI Research Director, leveraging their expertise in data analysis and research. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Data Scientist, demonstrating their continued growth and leadership in the field. Noze specializes in capturing scent information in digital format using bio-inspired technology developed by JPL, NASA.

Mojtaba Khomami Abadi pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. Mojtaba obtained their Bachelor's degree from the University of Tehran between 2006 and 2010, focusing on Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Combinatorial Optimization. Following this, they furthered their studies by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the University of Trento from 2011 to 2017, specializing in Computer Science.
