Ira Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ira is currently working as a Security Management Agent at NPB Companies since 2022. Previously, they held the role of Operations & Risk Management Consultant at P360 Consulting from 2018 onwards. Prior to that, they worked as a Production Operations Specialist at Private Protective Services INC from 2017 to 2019. Ira also has experience as part of the ICON Entertainment & Political Divisions at Icon Services Corporation from 2016 to 2018. Before entering the private sector, Ira worked as the Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation at the City of Lewisburg from 2015 to 2018 and as a Community Center Director at the City of Columbia, TN from 2011 to 2015. Ira began their career as a Graduate Assistant for the Strength and Conditioning Department at Tennessee State University from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they gained experience as a Campus Recreation Fitness Center Shift Supervisor at Vanderbilt University from 2006 to 2009.
Ira Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Performance and Sports Science from Tennessee State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Ira later pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from the same university, completing their studies in 2009. In addition to their formal education, Ira Thompson obtained various certifications including Crowd Manager from the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE FIRE MARSHALS in October 2018, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers from the American Red Cross in December 2017, and Event Safety Alliance from the Event Safety Alliance in October 2018.
