Data Science Lead at nPlan

Gerard Cardoso has a wealth of experience in the data science field. Gerard began their career as a Business Technology Analyst at Accenture in 2014. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Bath. In 2017, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer for the Synapse Digital Mammography DREAM Challenge and as a Data Scientist at Satalia. Gerard also worked as a Co-Founder and CTO of Ski Deal Comparison, where they won the Start-up Fund grant and was awarded the chance to be a Case Study for the 10 week UX Design Course at General Assembly. In 2018, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at UCL. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Portfolio Data Scientist at Founders Factory and currently works as a Senior Data Scientist at nPlan.

Gerard Cardoso has a diverse educational background. Gerard obtained an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Geneva in 2010-2012. Gerard then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Bath in 2012-2016. Gerard concluded their formal education with a Master of Science in Business Analytics (specialisation in Computer Science) from UCL in 2016-2017. Gerard has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Structuring Machine Learning Projects (May 2019), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (April 2019), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (March 2019), and Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms (September 2016).
