Rodney R. Smith

Rodney R. Smith has extensive experience in career placement and job development, currently serving as a Career Placement Manager at NPower since November 2021. Prior experience includes roles at Focus: HOPE from February 2012 to November 2021, where responsibilities ranged from Placement & Retention Manager to Business Development Manager, emphasizing job development services for students in the Information Technologies Center. Rodney also played a crucial role as Lead Job Developer in the Earn & Learn Program, assisting at-risk youth and disadvantaged populations in achieving educational and employment goals. Additional experience includes positions at the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates, Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation, and Wee Care & Development Center, along with early work as a teacher at Highland Park High School.
