Caroline Drees

Caroline Drees is a seasoned professional in the fields of media and journalism, currently serving as the Senior Director of Field Safety and Security at NPR since November 2019. Previously, Drees held multiple key positions at Reuters from December 2008 to November 2019, including Global Editor of Editorial Learning and Culture, where responsibilities encompassed setting agendas for journalistic capabilities and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives. Additional roles at Reuters included Global Editor, interim Global Head of Communications, Global Editor for Editorial Events, and Managing Editor for the Middle East and Africa. Caroline Drees holds a BA in Political Science and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Yale University and an MSc in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
