Chiara Eisner

Investigative Reporter

Chiara Eisner is an accomplished investigative reporter with experience across various prestigious media outlets. Currently, at NPR since June 2022, Chiara reports feature-length segments and digital articles for shows like All Things Considered and Morning Edition. Prior to this role, Chiara worked at The State Newspaper, where significant investigations focused on immigration, education, and environmental issues garnered national recognition. Freelance work includes projects for The Guardian, WIRED, and Scientific American, among others. As a correspondent for The Economist, Chiara reported on the changing landscape of science publishing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional experience encompasses co-founding a nonprofit focused on health education, producing a documentary series on immigrants in Boston, and teaching ESL to adult immigrants. Chiara holds a Master of Science in Investigative Reporting from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from The University of Texas at Austin.
