Danny Hensel is an experienced producer currently working as Producer I for NPR's Weekend Edition since May 2018, responsible for pitching, booking, reporting, writing, producing, and editing diverse segments, managing live broadcasts, and overseeing editorial direction for interviews. Previously held roles include Associate Producer, Assistant Producer, and Production Assistant at NPR, as well as a News Assistant for various NPR programs. Hensel also gained experience as a Production Assistant at Michigan Radio and as an Arts Writer and Daily Film Editor for The Michigan Daily. Hensel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan, and graduated from Glenbrook North High School in 2014.
