Debbie Hiott

Debbie Hiott is a seasoned media professional with over 30 years of experience in reporting and leadership across various platforms, including print, online, and broadcast. Currently serving as the General Manager of KUT Public Media and the Executive Director of Media Operations at Moody College of Communication, Hiott also holds positions on the NPR Member Board of Directors and the Board of the Station Resource Group. Their earlier career includes multiple editorial roles at the Austin American-Statesman, where they managed the newsroom and contributed to numerous accolades, including three Texas Newspaper of the Year titles. Hiott earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas State University.
