Fred Dust

Board Member

Fred Dust is the founder of Dust & Company, a role held since October 2018, where responsibilities include being a designer, speaker, consultant, and writer. Currently serving as faculty at the Esalen Institute and as a dialogue designer for The Rockefeller Foundation, Fred Dust has also been a board member of NPR since December 2016. Previous leadership includes chairing the Governance Committee and serving as a board member for Sundance from May 2015 to March 2021, chairing the board at Parsons School of Design from September 2020 to March 2021, and being a board member at The New School from January 2012 to March 2021. Fred Dust was a senior partner and global managing director at IDEO from March 2000 to October 2018. Educational background includes a degree in Art History from Reed College and studies at the University of California, Berkeley from 1997 to 2000.
