Jay Czys is an accomplished audio engineer with extensive experience in live broadcasting and audio production. Since May 2015, Jay has served as an Audio Engineer at NPR, where responsibilities include operating audio consoles during live broadcasts and troubleshooting audio issues. Notably, Jay coordinates technical needs for election coverage and has held technical director roles for various NPR programs. As a freelance audio engineer since August 2009, Jay has provided sound design, mixing, and live broadcast support. Previous positions include Master Control Operator at Sinclair Broadcast Group and Operations Technician at WICD Newschannel 15. Jay holds a Master of Fine Arts in Recording Arts Technology from Middle Tennessee State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts from Butler University.
