Senior Editor, Npr's Enterprise And Storytelling Unit at NPR

Jennifer Schmidt is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in editing and storytelling at NPR. Currently serving as Senior Editor in NPR's Enterprise and Storytelling Unit since October 2020, Jennifer previously held the role of Editor/Writer for NPR's Hidden Brain from June 2016 to October 2020, where a focus was placed on deeply reported stories about human behavior. Prior to that, Jennifer held key editing positions on NPR's flagship programs, Morning Edition and All Things Considered, from January 2014 to June 2016. Jennifer's career also includes serving as International Editor at World Vision Report and freelance reporting and editing for BBC and CBC, showcasing a robust background in both domestic and international journalism. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Middlebury College.
