Jim Kane

Jim Kane is a seasoned broadcast journalist currently serving as Deputy Managing Editor and Newscaster at NPR since September 2016. As Co-founder and CEO of Kane Nagle Media since June 2015, Jim provides independent media consulting services to corporations and non-profits. Jim's extensive experience in the media industry includes roles such as Washington Deputy Bureau Chief at ABC News Radio from 1997 to 2015, and Washington Bureau Chief at Monitor Radio from 1990 to 1997. Additional experience includes anchoring and reporting at WMJX Radio, WTAG Radio, and WESO Radio. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Reporting with a specialization in Government from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
