Joe Hernandez

Joe Hernandez is a seasoned reporter currently working at NPR since May 2021. Prior to this role, Joe had an extensive career at WHYY, where responsibilities included NJ Statehouse Reporter, South Jersey Reporter, and Morning Producer from November 2013 to May 2021. Earlier experience included positions as Assistant Producer and Associate Producer for The Takeaway at WNYC Radio between January 2012 and September 2013, along with an internship at the same program. Joe holds a B.A. in English and Spanish from Rutgers University, earned between 2007 and 2011, and completed a study abroad program at Universidad de Sevilla in 2010.
