John Isabella

John Isabella is an experienced media professional and educator with a diverse background in production, operations, and strategic initiatives. Currently serving as the Supervising Producer/Editor for How I Built This at NPR, John leads a team in creating and managing podcast episodes while coordinating communication with high-profile guests and overseeing partnerships. Previously, John held roles in event management and project management at NPR, as well as leadership positions in recruitment and strategic staffing at District of Columbia Public Schools. With earlier experience as a Senior Program Operations Manager at TNTP and a Mathematics Teacher in the NYC Department of Education, John holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations/Marketing from William & Mary and a Master's in Secondary Mathematics Education from The City College of New York, supplemented by a certificate in Full Stack Web Development from The George Washington University.
