Jude Joffe-Block

Jude Joffe-Block is an accomplished journalist and audio producer with extensive experience in reporting and editing. Currently serving as a reporter for NPR since April 2024, Jude previously worked as a freelance journalist, editor, and audio producer, including editing the podcast Drilled and contributing to Palabra, the publication of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. At The Associated Press from July 2020 to November 2021, Jude focused on debunking misinformation regarding the 2020 election and COVID-19 in both English and Spanish. Other notable roles include a visiting journalist at the Russell Sage Foundation, a New Arizona Fellow at New America, and senior field correspondent for KJZZ Phoenix and Las Vegas. Jude's early career includes a fellowship with News21 and contributions to the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where efforts helped launch the bilingual news site Mission Local. Education includes a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in History from Yale University.
