Justine Yan

Producer

Justine Yan is an accomplished producer with extensive experience in audio production, journalism, and education. Currently at NPR since September 2020, Justine has held various roles including Producer, Assistant Producer, and News Assistant, contributing to the Embedded, Rough Translation, and Invisibilia podcasts. Previous academic experience includes an MFA candidacy at UC Irvine, where Justine also served as Poetry Editor for the Pushcart prize-winning literary journal Faultline. Justine's early career includes roles such as Publishing Workshop Fellow at the Los Angeles Review of Books, Audio Producer at Transom Story Workshop, and Research Fellow at Yale-China Association, with a focus on urban-rural cultural studies. Justine's background also encompasses design and research roles in architecture and urbanism, as well as editorial positions in various publications. Justine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Urban Studies from Yale University.
