Kate Concannon is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in public radio. Currently serving as the Senior Supervising Editor for "The Indicator From Planet Money" at NPR since May 2021, Kate Concannon previously held the position of Managing Editor at the Mountain West News Bureau from January 2018 to May 2021. Co-editor-in-chief at Indie Edit, a virtual editing service founded alongside Alisa Joyce Barba, Kate Concannon provided editorial support and coverage for documentary and feature projects. Additional roles include Editor at American Public Media's Marketplace and Western Bureau Chief at NPR, where responsibilities included coordinating national coverage and mentoring emerging reporters. Early career experience includes producing and editing KPBS's groundbreaking daily public affairs program. Kate Concannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University.
