Katherine Sypher is a skilled production assistant currently working with the How I Built This team at NPR since November 2023, having previously held a similar role at NPR from October 2021 to December 2022. Katherine has experience in producing and scoring episodes for various shows, including TED Radio Hour, and has produced ads for multiple programs. Prior to this, Katherine was a data journalism fellow at APM Research Lab, reporting on climate and health issues, and served as interim Morning Edition Producer at KJZZ. Educational qualifications include a Master of Mass Communication in Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in Cognitive Science from the University of Connecticut.
