Kirk Siegler

Kirk Siegler is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in public radio, currently serving as a Correspondent for NPR News since December 2012. Following seven years based in Los Angeles covering California and the West, Kirk established NPR's first-ever bureau in Idaho in late 2019 to enhance coverage of rural and conservative America. Prior to this, Kirk worked as a Reporter at KUNC from September 2007 to November 2012, focusing on Colorado politics, business, and the environment. Kirk's career began at Aspen Public Radio, where Kirk served as News Director and Reporter from January 2006 to September 2007, covering significant local issues including the ski industry and the early debates over fracking.
