Luis Trelles is an accomplished journalist and educator with extensive experience in storytelling and screenwriting. Currently serving as a Senior Editor in the Enterprise Storytelling Unit at NPR since January 2021, Trelles previously held the role of Senior Editor at Latino USA and has contributed as an adjunct professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. Trelles's background includes reporting and producing for Radio Ambulante, focusing on narratives from Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, as well as Latino communities in the US. Additional teaching experience includes professorships at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and the University of Puerto Rico. Trelles holds an MFA in Film/Screenwriting from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
