Phil Harrell

Phil Harrell has extensive experience in the broadcasting industry, with a career spanning from 1994 to the present. Currently a Senior Producer at NPR, Phil has worked in various capacities since 1998, including managing arts coverage and production staff for Morning Edition. Prior experience includes serving as a producer at XM Satellite Radio and hosting roles at WHFS-FM and WRNR 1031FM, where significant audience growth was achieved. Phil's educational background includes a BA in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Maryland and earlier studies at Boston University and Queen Anne School. Accolades include the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award and the Gabriel Award.
