Rachel Evans

Chief Development Officer (cdo) & President Of The NPR Foundation

Rachel Evans serves as the Chief Development Officer and President of the NPR Foundation, focusing on strengthening philanthropic revenue for journalism since November 2025. Concurrently, Rachel holds the position of Army Officer and Chaplain Candidate in the US Army Reserves, training as a chaplain with the 400th military police battalion. Previous roles include Chief Revenue & Development Officer at Teach For America, where Rachel significantly increased funding and donor retention, and Chief Executive Officer at CitySchools Collaborative, dedicated to enhancing public education. Rachel's professional background also includes a White House Fellowship, and positions with TNTP and the Cristo Rey Network. Rachel is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School, following an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University.
