Rhitu Chatterjee

Health Correspondent

Rhitu Chatterjee is a seasoned health correspondent and editor at NPR, having held the position since November 2013, where responsibilities include reporting and producing stories on health and development. With a strong background in scientific journalism, Chatterjee contributed to Science Magazine as a correspondent focused on scientific developments in the Indian subcontinent from November 2013 to April 2017. Chatterjee has also reported on current affairs for PRI and BBC's The World, emphasizing gender-related issues and global health. Previous roles include serving as a science correspondent for both NPR and PRI's The World radio, as well as an associate editor for Environmental Science & Technology News. Chatterjee holds a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Visva-Bharati.
