NPR
Ruth Sherlock is an experienced journalist currently serving as an International Correspondent for NPR since May 2017, focusing on reporting from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and other regional countries, with an emphasis on human rights, climate change, and the environment. Prior to NPR, Ruth was the US Editor for The Telegraph from March 2012 to May 2017, where leadership encompassed a team covering the 2016 US presidential election, as well as serving as a Middle East correspondent during the conflict in Syria. Ruth also worked as a freelance journalist between February 2011 and March 2012, covering significant events such as the revolution in Egypt and the war in Libya. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Durham University, earned between September 2006 and July 2009. Additionally, a podcast series produced by Ruth was shortlisted for a Livingston Award.
