Scott Detrow is the host of NPR's afternoon news magazine, All Things Considered, and co-host of the Consider This podcast, where they provide special coverage of breaking news events. Previously, Detrow served as NPR's political correspondent and hosted the NPR Politics Podcast for several years. They have also reported on environmental issues as a StateImpact Reporter and held various roles within NPR, including White House Correspondent and Congressional Correspondent. Detrow holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in English and Political Science from Fordham University. Additionally, they are co-authoring a biography of Pope Leo, set to be published in fall 2026.
