Scott Hensley

Scott Hensley is a seasoned journalist and editor with extensive experience in health and science reporting. Currently serving as the Domestic Health Editor at National Public Radio since August 2009, Scott has focused significantly on COVID-19 coverage, including vaccines, treatment, and testing. Prior to NPR, Scott worked as a self-employed writer and consultant, contributing to Scientific American and providing strategic consulting to the American Journal of Nursing. Experience at The Wall Street Journal includes founding the WSJ Health Blog and covering major health topics, while earlier roles involved reporting on healthcare for Crain Communications and American Banker, as well as regulatory affairs for Siemens Medical Solutions. Scott holds a Master of Science from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences with a Public Health Option from The Johns Hopkins University.
