Sean Phillips is an accomplished audio engineering professional with extensive experience in both broadcasting and interactive media. Currently serving as the Director of Audio Engineering at NPR since September 2019, Sean previously held positions such as Audio Engineering Manager at NPR West and Audio Implementer at The Game Band, where contributions included audio implementation for the popular Apple Arcade title "Where Cards Fall." Sean’s earlier roles featured leadership as the Director of Creative Technology at Beaudry Interactive LLC and Technical Director at NPR. With foundational skills established as an announcer and engineer at KVPR, and as Principal Sound Designer at Ray Bradbury's Pandemonium Theater, Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from UCLA, a Master of Science in Media Arts and Technology from UC Santa Barbara, and post-baccalaureate studies in Computer Science from the University of the District of Columbia.
