Steven Drummond is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in editorial leadership, particularly at NPR since August 2000, where roles have included Senior Editor/Executive Producer and Senior Supervising Editor for the Education Desk, among others. Prior to NPR, Drummond served as Deputy Managing Editor at Education Week from 1993 to 2000 and worked as a reporter for the St. Petersburg Times from 1988 to 1991. Additionally, Drummond held the position of Ferris Professor of Journalism at Princeton University for a brief period in 2013. Educational credentials include an MA in Education and an MA in Journalism from the University of Michigan, as well as an AB in Economics from the same institution.
