Tim Greiving

Tim Greiving is an experienced arts journalist and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Southern California since August 2019, where courses on film music history and John Williams are taught. Since May 2010, Greiving has freelanced as a journalist, contributing regularly to prominent publications such as the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and NPR, with features appearing in the New York Times, Criterion, Vulture, Variety, and more. Additional contributions include work with New York Magazine, The Ringer, and work as a freelance writer for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Classical KUSC, where interviews and concert commentary are created. Greiving holds an M.A. in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Florida College.
