Katariina Nilsson (Soikkanen)

Katariina Nilsson (Soikkanen) has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Katariina currently holds the position of Vice President, Materials Division and Machinery at NRC Group Finland, where they have P&L responsibility over the Materials division, with a turnover of approximately 45M€ and a team of around 30 people. Katariina also oversees the procurement organization of the company. Prior to this, they served as Vice President, Materials Division at NRC Group Finland, with similar responsibilities.

Before joining NRC Group Finland, Katariina worked at VR Transpoint, where they held several positions. As Head of forest industry logistics & Key account manager, they had overall responsibility over the forest industry segment, including P&L management and leading new customer projects. Katariina also managed small and medium-sized customers in Finland and one key account. As a Key Account Manager, they had P&L responsibility for named key accounts, including VR Transpoint's largest client. Additionally, they served as Head Of Business Development, responsible for leading division strategy and action planning processes, managing development projects, and assessing new business opportunities. Katariina also held supervisory responsibilities. During their time at VR Transpoint, they were a member of the sales management team and the company's management team.

Katariina also has experience working at VR Group as an Analyst in Business Development, and at The Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Associate, where they worked on large projects within the energy and industrial goods sector, developing effective strategies and managing complex projects in matrix organizations.

Katariina holds a Master's degree in Science and Business Administration from Aalto University. Additionally, they have had short-term roles as a Visiting Associate at The Boston Consulting Group, a Treasury dealer at Konecranes, and an Employee at Nordea Markets.

Katariina Nilsson (Soikkanen) began their education in 2002 at Mäkelänrinne sports high school, where they studied and received their Ylioppilas degree in 2006. In 2006-2007, they attended Mercyhurst University, focusing on Finance. From 2007 to 2012, Katariina pursued a Master's degree in Finance at Aalto University. In 2009, they participated in a university exchange program at HEC Montréal. Additionally, in 2003-2004, they studied at L´ecole secondaire in Marie-Rivier, Quebec, Canada.
