Kimmo Ketola has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Lineman for Leppäkosken Sähkö Oy for three years. In 2017, they joined Leppäkosken Sähkö-konserni as an Electrical Designer Trainee. The following year, they worked as a Project Engineer for VR Track Oy, where they were responsible for quality assurance, documentation, procurement, and purchasing for the Tampere Tramway Alliance. In 2019, Ketola joined NRC Group Finland as a Project Engineer and later became the Site Foreman. Kimmo then advanced to the role of Electrical Design Engineer, responsible for designing substations and other systems for multimillion euro tramway projects. Currently, they hold the position of Head Design Engineer at NRC Group Finland, overseeing the design and commissioning of substations.
Kimmo Ketola completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Power Engineering from Tampere University of Applied Sciences from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Automation Engineering from Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in 2016. In addition to their formal education, Kimmo has acquired several certifications. Kimmo obtained the certification in Automated Power System Protection Testing from OMICRON electronics in April 2022. In June 2021, they completed the Netcon SUBSTATION certification from Netcontrol Group. Moreover, in December 2020, Kimmo obtained the Relesuojauksen peruskurssi certification from Kiwa Training.
