Vilius Benetis

Vilius Benetis is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in building and modernizing Cyber Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) and Security Operations Centers (SOCs). Currently serving as Director at NRD Cyber Security since 2013, Vilius has played a key role in design, implementation, and auditing within the cybersecurity domain. Roles include Steering Committee Member at TF-CSIRT, coordinator for Incident Response at GFCE, and contributing volunteer member at FIRST. Vilius is also a board member of the North European Cybersecurity Cluster, serves on the board of NRD Bangladesh Limited, and has held various leadership positions within ISACA's Lithuanian Chapter. Additionally, Vilius was an Industry Professor for Cyber Security at Kaunas University of Technology and previously worked as Cybersecurity Practice Principal at Norway Registers Development AS. Academic credentials include a PhD and MSc in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Denmark, a research visit at Tsinghua University, and a BSc in Computer Science from Kaunas University of Technology.
