Amy Phillips Bursch

Amy Phillips Bursch is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in speechwriting and executive communications. Currently serving as the Speechwriter and Executive Communications Manager at NRECA since April 2024, Bursch previously worked as the Director of Speechwriting for the United States Senate from May 2017 to April 2024, where responsibilities included writing a wide array of communication materials beyond floor speeches. Prior roles include speechwriter for the United States Department of Energy and Senior Advisor/Speechwriter for the United States Senate, among others. Bursch began a career in journalism as a copy editor at the Argus Leader and Rapid City Journal, holding a Bachelor of Arts in political science and journalism from South Dakota State University.
