Megan Olmstead

Megan Olmstead serves as the Regulatory Affairs Director at NRECA since April 2022, advocating for nearly 900 electric cooperatives on various federal issues. Previously, Megan held roles as an Associate Attorney at Parsons Behle & Latimer and Stoel Rives LLP, focusing on legislative and regulatory matters in the energy sector. Megan has substantial experience in policy advisory roles, including Counsel for the Idaho Office of Energy and Mineral Resources and various positions within the U.S. House of Representatives, where responsibilities included legislative drafting and oversight on natural resource and Veterans Affairs issues. Education includes a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Portland. Additionally, Megan has pursued a directed study as an Apprentice Perfumer.
