Michelle Goeller

Michelle Goeller has a diverse range of work experience starting from 2001. Michelle worked as a Sales and Service Associate at Capital One, where they managed branch activities and customer interactions. From 2005 to 2005, they served as an Internal Audit Intern at AOL. Michelle then joined RSM US LLP in 2006, where they worked as an Audit Supervisor, managing audit planning and reporting. Michelle also supervised audit staff and presented audit results to clients. In 2011, they joined CSC as a Corporate Benefit Plan Senior Accountant. During this time, they were involved in managing benefit plans. Michelle then worked at NRECA from 2012 onwards, where they held multiple roles. Michelle served as a Senior Plans Internal Auditor, conducting assurance and risk assessments related to employee benefit plans. Michelle also managed the Participant Review program and provided subject matter expertise to members. Currently, Michelle is working as a Lead Auditor at NRECA, managing multiple assurance and risk assessment engagements for complex business areas. Michelle compiles and communicates risk mitigation strategies to senior management and supervises the internal audit team.

Michelle Goeller obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University in 2005. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in 2018, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2017, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy in 2011.
