Scott Hallowell is the current Director at NRECA. Prior to that, they were the Senior Vice President at Gibraltar Associates from January 2008 to July 2010 where they led, launched, and managed social media programs to increase awareness for the need for routine testing for HIV/AIDS. The programs were aimed at showing the changing geography and demographics of HIV/AIDS, reducing stigma surrounding testing and diagnosis of the disease and promoting the need for HIV testing as a standard of routine preventative health care. Hallowell also launched the first National AIDS Atlas to map the spread of HIV/AIDS down to the county level. The launch generated more than 20 million media impressions across all media platforms. Scott provided strategic counsel for various client advocacy campaigns and created specialty videos for use in social media campaigns and for marketing efforts. Hallowell also created high-impact marketing materials and Web sites for external and internal clients while they were at Burson-Marsteller from 2001 to 2004.
Scott Hallowell has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ohio Wesleyan University. Scott is certified by PRWeek in Non-profit Campaign of the Year.
