Charlene Johnson

Charlene Johnson, M.A., currently serves as a State Representative for the State of Texas since January 2025 and has been with NRG Energy since May 1993, where Charlene holds managerial roles including Claims Administrator II. In the position of Claims Administrator, Charlene investigates and resolves complex customer claims, provides analytical and legal support, and collaborates with various departments to enhance customer experience and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Charlene’s supervisory experience includes training customer service personnel and mentoring call center groups. Charlene earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Supervision and a degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Houston, followed by a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Arizona.
