Todd Smith

Todd Smith serves as the Director of Software Engineering at NRG Energy, where leadership of a team focuses on building core services and common UI for internal applications has been a key responsibility since January 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Vivint Smart Home, where Todd managed engineering teams across iOS, Android, Platform, and QA, contributing to the Vivint Assist product and core app experience. Todd's engineering background encompasses significant contributions as the lead engineer for the ArcGIS codebase at Spillman Technologies and development of a compiler at Rockwell Collins that achieved a notable performance increase. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University and ongoing pursuit of an Executive MBA at the University of Utah.
