Alexandra E. Arntsen, Ph.D., currently serves as Lead Data Scientist at NRG Systems since October 2018, also holding the position of Data Scientist within the company. In addition, Alexandra has been a member of the Science Site Suitability Subgroup at CFARS since March 2019. Alexandra's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, where the dissertation focused on Arctic sea ice. Prior experiences include roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at the US Army Corps of Engineers, a Visiting Student Research Fellow at NCAR, and an Analyst Intern at Altenex. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont and has also been involved in coaching sailing at the Manchester Sailing Association.
